Holiday Inn Express & Suites Onalaska - La Crosse, an IHG Hotel

Fantastic new hotel that is clean and nice. My only complaint is the HVAC. Takes about 2 hours to increase the temperature in the room by 2-3 degrees. Cannot have the fan run constantly without turning off the heat. Windows fog up from a shower due to the lack of air movement. Thermostat is restricted so you cannot just have the fan run consistently and yet stay a comfortable temperature. Beyond that, fantastic new hotel. Just has a very odd HVAC system. Be aware there is road noise from the freeway (hence another reason the constant fan is nice to help cover that up)

What a phenomenal hotel! The rooms were super neat and exceptionally clean, as was the lobby and dining area. The hotel interior and exterior looks very modern and trendy and felt very luxurious. We traveled with our young family so we enjoyed the kid friendly pool and hot tub area and explored the gym. Our kids were not disappointed and throughly enjoyed their stay. The breakfast selection had a large variety to choose from and the food was excellent. The hotel location offers lots of entertainment opportunities within the community and a large list of dining options. It was easy to find right off the interstate exit and the hotel has a large parking lot for worry free parking. Excellent stay and service for the price. We’ll definitely be back again!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Onalaska! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, but what really made the difference was the amazing service. I want to especially thank the young gentleman, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and taken care of. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely made our stay so much better. It’s not often you meet someone who takes that much pride in their work and truly cares about the guests. Because of the warm hospitality from Ishan and the overall experience, we’ll definitely choose this hotel again the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend!

The hotel was impeccable. Clean, well staffed and stocked. The staff was friendly and managed every request with a smile and positive attitude. Breakfast was fresh and flavorful. Jesse and Heidi were so friendly and efficient. On day 1, it seemed all the guests decided to have Breakfast at the same time, which created a big rush. Jesse and Heidi managed the rush extremely well. They got everything out in record time. More importantly, they did it with a smile, happy greeting, and positive attitude. Thank you for a great stay! We WILL stay here for all our LaCrosse trips!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Onalaska – La Crosse and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The property is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere the moment you walk in. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The room was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and the overall quietness of the hotel made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the spacious layout and updated amenities. Breakfast offered a nice variety of options, and the dining area was kept clean and well-stocked. The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and the La Crosse area. Overall, this hotel delivers great value and outstanding service. HIGHLY recommend!! Very modern and VERY CLEAN!! Breakfast is AMAZING!! Pool, hot tub and kiddie pool are great! Gambling Machines are a fun addition. Service is amazing! Can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

I called this hotel to check availability for a very busy weekend. The man I spoke to was so helpful (I think his name was JC) and made it worked for my high school team. I ended up booking 14 rooms for our team. JC even called me a day before check-in to just go over a few things. I liked that the automatic text was also helpful and they let my group check in early. Overall I had a great experience with customer service prior arriving. At check in, it was a little busy. When it was my turn to step up, the lady immediately looked my way and in a rude tone says , “are you May? You need to swipe another card. ” Wow. No hello first? I told her that our school district would be paying for the rooms and promptly presented our district’s payment information. I was taken back as the customer service prior to this was very helpful and polite. Our district paid over 4k for our team for ONE night. I think she should have been more understanding of what may have been going on. I don’t know what the protocol is for this and a phone call may have cleared this up before our team’s arrival. Was not a pleasant experience. Thankfully rooms and keys were ready to go. So I am very grateful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Other staff was helpful and accommodating. Good breakfast.

Ayia(sp?) did a fantastic job assisting me in checking out. I wanted to change the credit card and she worked tirelessly till she found a way to help me. She is simply the best hotel receptionist I have worked with over my decades of travel. She deserves a raise!
